Meet the Team

Health navigators are members of our team who can answer questions about your test results, help you make an appointment with a healthcare provider, help get you signed up for health insurance, and link you to HIV prevention and treatment services.

Gabby Newton (She/Her)

Gabby (She/Her) has been living in Baltimore for four years. She hopes that through her work in the public health field she can help empower people to reclaim their whole and happy selves from the impacts of oppressions they face. As a VOISES coordinator, Gabby uses data to inform the progress of the program to make sure it is serving Baltimore City’s young people as best as it can. Growing up in a woodsy area of western Massachusetts, she enjoys finding ways to reconnect with nature, lately through starting a veggie and flower garden and exploring Maryland’s state parks (Assateague is her favorite so far).

In Gabby’s free time, you can also find her listening to podcasts (especially The Read), checking out a farmers market, or volunteering at a local doula organization.

When she isn't at work, she is attending graduate school to become a mental health therapist.  She loves the arts and is a spoken word artist and published author.  Also, on any given day you may catch her scrolling social media looking for animal videos because that's her favorite thing to do.
